GOBLE ,STANLEY JAMES(1891- 1948)
He became A.D.C. to Governor Alexander Hore Ruthven in South Australia in 1928. Keen in 'amateur' flying In 1929 he was the first person to fly solo round Australia in a D.H. Moth with Cirrus 2 engine . Later , in a Wackett Widgeon 2 amphibian he took off over Port Phillip Bay from Point Cook and crashed into the sea . He, at 57, with his mechanic, crashed into the sea and drowned.
As a young man in England ,he twice rode in the Grand National Steeplechase, Liverpool.,U.K.( 'The N-W Aerial Frontier 1919-1934' by E.P.Wixteed) (Who's Who in A.History)

In 1928 he became A.D.C. to Sir Alexander Hore Ruthven in South Australia. In 1929 he was the first person to fly solo round Australia in a light plane ,a DH Moth with a Cirrus 2 engine taking a very long time.
